Story By: JODY LONDON / GTR PROMOTIONS – ROCHESTER, NY – Following years of anticipation, the XMR Sportsman Modified special finally made its debut at Oswego Speedway on Saturday September 2nd at Classic Weekend with Trevor Catalano of Ontario, Ny collecting the 4,000 dollar pay from DCR Performance.
Catalano made it a first of a lot of things. First win and first start at Oswego Speedway.
28 teams answered the call seeing a fierce battle for the lead spot between Trevor Catalano, Andy Jankowiak and Tj Potrzebowski, with Jimmy Zacharias and Mike Ramos rounding out the top 5. Heat race winners went to , Jimmy Zacharias, Trevor Catalano, Tony Hanbury and Jake Lutz
“Doug Reaume of DCR Performance has been a pleasure to work with and he has stuck it out with us for the few years as we have worked to get this race officially in the books,” said XMR Sportsman Modified promoter, Jody London. “The Sportsman Modified division put on an amazing show after waiting for so many years, i couldn’t have been happier for all of us to watch the race finally happen.”
Located in Phoenix, NY, DCR Performance was built with the main purpose of helping the local racing community save money. Armed with up to 10,000 square feet of space, housing several CNC machines and fabrication equipment, DCR Performance is armed to build affordable parts for racers. Whether it be bodies, bumpers, bars, specialty pieces or wings; DCR Performance is set to help asphalt and dirt racers alike in an effort to compete at a lower cost.
The XMR Sportsman Modified DCR Performance 40 will join an action packed night of racing at Oswego Speedway on Saturday, August31st 2024. Joining the XMR Sportsman race on the card will be the Nascar Whelen Modified Tour on Classic Weekend
