Story By: RACE OF CHAMPIONS – SYRACUSE, NY – Several Race of Champions Series Champions and competitors along with stars from the Sodus Microd Club will take part in autograph session during the 32nd Annual Syracuse Motorsports Expo on Saturday, March 10 at 3:00pm.
The 32nd Annual Syracuse Motorsports Expo takes place at the New York State Fairgrounds on Saturday March 10 and Sunday, March 11.
The Saturday, March 10 autograph session will feature several stars of the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series program including Mike Leaty of Williamson, N.Y., who is the 2017 series champion. Leaty will be joined Tommy Catalano of Ontario, N.Y., who was voted the Most Popular Driver in the Modified Series in 2017 as well as earning the Sportsman Modified and Late Model Series championships. Amy Catalano of Ontario, N.Y., one of the most popular racers in the region along with 2018 Rookie-of-the-Year candidate Kreig Heroth of Fort Plain, N.Y., will join in on the festivities. Tim Gullo of Elmira, N.Y., the reigning Race of Champions Super Stock Series champion and Kevin Timmerman of Walworth, N.Y., will be on hand to take part in the session.
Also joining the autograph session will be young Andrew Lewis of Ontario, N.Y., and some of his fellow Microd racers from the Sodus Microd Club. The Sodus Microd Club provides young racers a place to develop and learn skills that will advance their interest in auto-racing.
The Race of Champions will have Heroth’s new SPAFCO Chassis machine on display as well as Timmerman’s Troyer Chassis Sportsman Modified and Gullo’s Championship winning Super Stock as well Lewis’ Microd. Information from the Race of Champions family of Series will be available as well as representatives and information from the Sodus Microd Club.
The 32nd Annual Syracuse Motorsports Expo will be open on Saturday, March 10 from 10:00am until 8:00pm and again on Sunday, March 11 from 11:00am until 4:00pm.
