Story By: TINA STRADER / TEAM PENSKE – MOORESVILLE, NC – Team Penske has become synonymous with success from its first day of competition when the formerly named Roger Penske Racing picked up a win in the team’s inaugural start, the 1966 Rolex 24 at Daytona.

In the 57 years since that first win, Team Penske has amassed record-setting numbers in the world of motorsports with more than 600 wins and 675 pole positions, 44 national championships, 19 Indianapolis 500 wins and three (3) Daytona 500 victories.

Since the start of the 2018 racing season, we have entered a time of unprecedented success, pushing our totals further into a category unto their own.

With our 2023 racing seasons now completed, we wanted to share an illustration with you that celebrates the performance of Team Penske over that span.

As you can see, the accomplishments in just the last six years are remarkable. Some highlights include:

  • 12 Championships in the last six (6) years across NASCAR, INDYCAR, IMSA and Australian Supercars
    • Team Penske has secured at least one championship in every year since 2012
  • 148 Wins in the last six (6) years
    • This amounts to 23.7% of Team Penske’s overall win total of 623
  • 3 Indianapolis 500 wins in the last six (6) years
  • 1 Daytona 500 win in the last six (6) years
  • 2 INDYCAR Championships in the last six (6) years
