Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / OUTLAW MIDGET RACING CLUB – INNISFIL, ONT – After an exciting 2022 season, the Outlaw Midgets presented by Canadian Tire Innisfil are full plans ahead for the 2023 campaign and their sixth year of competition.
As it has become accustomed with the series, they will begin their season at Sunset Speedway’s Spring Velocity on May 20, with 12 events to follow across the province at six different premiere tracks – Sunset, Peterborough Speedway, Full Throttle Motor Speedway, Sauble Speedway, Grand Bend Speedway, and Flamboro Speedway. The season finale will once again take place as part of the Autumn Colours Classic at Peterborough Speedway.
The schedule includes several highlights along the way, as the series will take part in several marquee events across the province. Those include both Spring and Fall Velocity at Sunset, a fan appreciation night at Peterborough, a Canada Day weekend double-header at Sauble, Rib Fest weekend at Grand Bend, Frostoberfest at Flamboro, and the aforementioned ACC at Peterborough.
With a steady car count throughout the season, and rookies always joining the fray, the Outlaws have developed a reputation since the inaugural campaign in 2016 for putting on some of the most thrilling events despite being known for small in size.
