Canadian Legend Car Series To Join Action Line-Up At Peterborough Speedway Saturday

Story By: JIM CLARKE / CANADIAN LEGEND CAR SERIES – PETERBOROUGH, ONT – After 3 weeks on the road, the Trailers Plus Canadian Legend Car Series will return to Peterborough Speedway Saturday, August 6th. This will mark the popular tour’s final visit of the 2022 regular season at Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile Oval.
Following the most recent stop – Saturday, July 30th at Sauble Speedway – Parker Traves holds-down the top spot in the point standings on the strength of his 4 main event wins. Jordan Latimer is 131 points behind the leader, with Adam Cuthbertson 133 markers out of the lead. Steve Gareau and Hudson Nagy occupy the 4th and 5th positions, 166 and 216 points respectively behind Traves. Ironically, 3 of the 5 drivers in the championship chase – Latimer, Gareau and Nagy – are also in contention for the 2022 rookie of the year title.
His 4 wins and 5 straight feature race top-5 finishes on the home front have come along with a 9th place showing during the Cook Out Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway – Tuesday, July 19th – have established Parker Traves’ No. 60 ride the team to beat on the Trailers Plus Canadian Legend Car Series. Series owner Kevin Foisy created even more awareness for the tour’s brand, with a Round 10 checkered flag at the Cook Out Summer Shootout – Tuesday, August 2nd – on his 57th birthday.
