Story By: JIM CLARKE / CANADIAN LEGEND CAR SERIES – PETERBOROUGH, ONT – Excitement is in the air as the Canadian Legend Car Series is set to roll into Peterborough Speedway Saturday, June 4th for its first event of the 2022 season.
“After the disappointment of losing our first visit of the year to the destructive derecho storm that rocked its way through the province, our teams are looking forward to getting back to Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile Oval for the tour’s inaugural start of the year,” explained series owner and spokesperson Kevin Foisy. “We have some new teams who’ll be taking their first green flag along with some returning runners, but everyone is anxious to get out there and show their stuff.”
A driver and team owner himself, Kevin Foisy is ready to hit the track and happy to see the tour take the next step in the continued development of Legend Car Racing in Canada.
With new branding and a strong team of marketing partners set to join the fresh faces in the starting field, this is an exciting time for everyone associated with the Canadian Legend Car Series sanctioning body. The Saturday, June 4th event at Peterborough Speedway is proudly sponsored by Peter Smith Chevrolet Buick Cadillac GMC in Belleville.
Pit gates will open at 1:30, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 4:00 and the first green flag at 5:00. It’s the year’s first Double Toonie/Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Pepsi. General admission passes are $4.00 and there will be an on-track autograph session at intermission.
