Story By: MARK DIMAURO JR. / BOLLES RACE CARS, INC. – ELLINGTON, CT – Bolles Race Cars, Inc. is excited to announce that Matthew Swanson will be the pilot of the 78 Bolles Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram SK Modified for the 2022 season at Stafford Motor Speedway.
Swanson ran for the team the last two SK races as a substitute driver.
He will be joined by team owner, Tom Bolles, who will be running a limited schedule in his 76 Bolles Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram SK Modified.
Matt shared his enthusiasm about joining the team, saying, “Obviously I’m definitely excited, racing at Stafford in an SK is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, doing it with Tommy Bolles who’s been doing it for so long definitely makes me excited, hopefully we can come out swinging.”
Matt also added “We are building a notebook to race week in and week out is not something that comes easy but we are all ready to work hard and make it happen”.
Tom Bolles shared his enthusiasm, saying that he’s been watching Matt for years and is excited for him to be behind the wheel of the 78.
The 78 is based on Bolles’ paint scheme in 2017, which was based on a throwback to Bolles’ street stock. Thank you to Justin Williams and Justin Williams Designs and Shawn Monahan and Critical Signs for their help in making this possible.
