As previously announced, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) makes its return to Thompson Speedway on Wednesday, August 17 at 6:00pm for the Thompson 150. It’s the first NASCAR Modified visit to Thompson since the 2020 World Series. The Outlaw Open Modifieds will get that night off. They return for the Tripoint Showdown 75 on Wednesday, September 14 to wrap up the Summer Series.
The season concludes with the 60th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing from Friday, October 7 to Sunday, October 9. A 75-lap showdown for the Modified Racing Series and Round 1 of the Sunoco Modified Triple Crown Series headline the Friday card. Saturday features the World Series 150 for the Whelen Modified Tour, twin 75-lap features for the ACT Late Model Tour and PASS Super Late Models, and the second round of the Sunoco Modified Triple Crown.
Sunday, October 9 is the $20,000-to-win Sunoco Thompson 300 for the Outlaw Open Modifieds along with the Sunoco Modified Triple Crown finale. Drivers and teams who attempt to qualify for all Outlaw Open Modified Series events will be eligible for potential provisional starting positions at the Thompson 300.
