Column By: STEPHEN DURHAM / RPW – EPPING, NH – An action packed Saturday is on tap for Star Speedway, so grab mom and bring her to the races, but will the weather cooperate?
Mother Nature does appear to give Epping racetrack green flag racing conditions Saturday afternoon and evening.
Saturday morning, clouds will have already moved into the region, or increasing, with maybe some spotty sunshine briefly. There is about a 15-20 percent chance of a scattered light shower Saturday afternoon, but otherwise mostly dry.
Temperatures on Saturday will be on a cooler side as they will get into the upper 50’s by green flag racing time. Temperatures will slowly fall back into the lower 50’s by about 7/8PM Saturday evening. Temperatures overnight will get back down into the 40’s eventually. Winds will be light out of the northeast at about 5 mph.
If you are feeling cool in the stands, the racing action and excitement will get you going on the track! The headliner this weekend at Star will be the Granite State Pro Stock Series 100 lapper. Especially after an epic side by side battle last year between Joey Pole and Derek Griffith at last year’s Star Classic! Pole won the GSPSS opener at Stafford Motor Speedway just two weeks ago and looks to stay hot!
Also on tap will be the NEMA Lites, Legends, Pure Stocks, and slingshots!
Grandstands open up at the track at noontime! Racing action at Star Speedway gets underway at 3:30PM! You wont want to miss this racing action and Happy Mothers Day to all the moms this weekend!
