RPW Column: Eyes On The Weather: Forecasting What To Expect This Weekend At Monadnock

Column By: STEPHEN DURHAM / RPW – WINCHESTER, NH – The weather for Monadnock Speedway’s lid-lifter for the 2021 season will be near perfect for some great racing action all weekend long.
Weather on Saturday will be cooler day of the two this weekend. Temperatures Saturday morning will be quite chilly, in the 30’s, but will get into the lower 50’s by the early afternoon hours. Mostly sunny skies for Saturday, so bring some shades, and enjoy the action heating up on track.
Temperatures Saturday afternoon/evening will fall back into the lower 40’s or even down into the 30’s. Going to want a heavier sweatshirt or coat to keep you warm once the sun goes down.
Saturday will be jammed back with racing action, the headline event being the Tri-Track Modified Series doing 100 laps the distance, featuring NASCAR driver Ryan Preece, Chase Dowling, Woody Pitkat, and more!
Other action going on Saturday will be the Pro Truck Series, NHSTRA Modifieds, mini stocks, pure stocks, classic lites, and young guns.
Forecast for Sunday looks fantastic for the Winchester, New Hampshire region! Temperatures will be pushing into the lower 60’s or even warmer!
Temperatures Sunday morning if you are camping out will be a little chilly, lower 40’s, but quickly getting back into the 50’s by late morning. Clouds will try to mix in with the sunshine during the day. There is an isolated shower chance during the afternoon though, but should be able to get the whole show in!
The racing action on Sunday will be headlined by the Granite State Pro Series, and featuring as well NHSTRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Late Model Sportsmen, NELCAR Legends, and 4 cylinder endures and v6/v8 enduros.
On Saturday, the grandstands open up at 1PM, racing action gets underway at 5PM. For Sunday, grandstands open up at 1130AM, racing action underway at 2PM.
