RPW Column: Anthony Bello’s Ready To Visit Victory Lane At Stafford Motor Speedway In ’21

Column By: BRITTANY NUTILE / RPW – NEWTOWN, CT – Young Anthony Bello is set to compete in the SK Light division at Stafford Motor Speedway during the 2021 season.

Running this type of car isn’t new to Bello.  Yes, he’ll be new to the Stafford Springs, CT track, and has only run an SK Light once at the New London Waterford Speedbowl.  However, he has an understanding of the open wheel cars.  He spent 2020 racing in the SK Modifieds at Waterford.

Bello has been racing for eight years now.  Of those eight years, he has seven indoor karting championships.

What does he see on the horizon for this coming season?

“My goals for 2021 season are to finish all the races,” Bello said.  “If we can do that, maybe we can be in the hunt for the championship.”

What got the driver from Newtown, CT interested in racing?

“My cousins kept telling me about this indoor go kart track in the next town over,” he said.  “So I went there, and the rest was history.”

Does Bello feel any pressure heading into the new season, especially running at Stafford?

“I’m not nervous at all,” he said.  “The competition in the SK Mods at Waterford is a lot harder so, I’m used to it.”

What does this season hold for young Anthony Bello?  Keep an eye on the results at Stafford or Waterford this season and find out!
