Information By: HALMAR FRIESEN RACING – STATESVILLE, NC – Stewart Friesen will be racing Sunday at Worldwide Technology Raceway at Gateway, still chasing his first win of the 2020 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series with his number 52 Halmar International Toyota Tundra.
The race will be live on Fox Sports 1 at 11:30 AM.
In two races at Gateway, Friesen has a top five and a top ten while completing 100% of the laps raced. (320 of 320).
“We have some good notes,” Friesen said. “Obviously, everything is a little bit different this year than in years past. We will just keep trying to build that notebook and use some of our experience there.”
Stage 1 ends on lap 55 while Stage 2 ends on lap 110. The final Stage 3 ends on lap 160.
Friesen is currently 15th in the NGOTS points standings and is ready for the challenges of Gateway.
“The shifting in (turns) one and two is unique for Gateway,” he said. “I got that down pretty good last year and was able to utilize that a little better than I did in years past. I’m looking forward to Sunday.”
After the ninth place finish at Dover, Halmar Friesen Racing (HFR) was able to donate $5,000 to a local Dover food bank thanks to the Halmar’s “Racing To Beat Hunger” Campaign. The program continues into Gateway with the goal to raise awareness for hunger and raise $200,000 for local food banks.
Halmar is matching donations from fans, sponsors, etc. up to $100,000.
“For each NASCAR Truck race this season that the #52 team finishes in the top 10, we’ll donate $5,000 to a local food bank,” he said. “For each win, we’ll donate $10,000.”
