Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN – CLARINGTON, ONT. CA – After announcing he will only run limited Late Model campaign in 2020, the schedule expands for Brandon Feeney as he will be also be contesting a full schedule behind the wheel of a Legend car.
“My thoughts going into Legend car season is that I’m excited to try another new class,” he said. “One that I have been told you have to be good driver to succeed in.”
For Feeney, the opportunity to jump behind the wheel of a Legend was an easy decision, as he has always wanted to try driving one, and the “opportunity came forward right at the right time for me make a full season jump.”
Entering the season, he hopes to complete all of the races and learn as much as he can each week.
“I’d like to see improvement each week and really like to be competitive for ROTY award and try to be top 10 in points,” he added.
Last season behind the wheel of a late model, Feeney was able to find success with a top-10 finish at Sunset Speedway, combined with a solid season-long campaign at Peterborough Speedway.
“2019 was great with me getting third in points at my home track Peterborough Speedway,” he commented. “We also got to multiple different race tracks and drove a bunch of different cars in having a helmet will travel style campaign.”
