Story By: CAMDEN PROUD / OSWEGO SPEEDWAY – OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Speedway will continue to offer some of the best concession items in Northeast short track racing as track management announces the return of Cam’s Pizzeria, Dino’s House of Burgers and Skip’s Fish Fry for the 2019 season.
Prior to it’s 2018 Opener, the track revealed it would bring these three local businesses and their award winning menus to it’s concession stands. Each of the vendors received rave reviews from race fans and Oswego Speedway did not hesitate in continuing to build on this much improved concession experience for the upcoming season.
“We look forward to welcoming Cam’s Pizzeria, Dino’s House Burgers and Skip’s Fish Fry back to the Oswego Speedway,” said track owner John Torrese. “We brought these vendors on last season in hopes of improving our concession experience and things worked out very well. The fans loved it, and it was a no brainer to have everyone return for 2019.”
This year’s concession setup remains very similar to that of 2018, with Cam’s continuing to offer the same NY style pizza customers have enjoyed since it’s first Central New York location was opened in 1980. Cam’s has provided all of the pizza in Oswego’s concessions for the past several years and will return with it’s popular thin crust slices this season. Cam’s ‘New York Pizzeria’ has grown to house over a dozen locations across the Central New York area.
Home to CNY’s ‘Best Burger,’ Dino’s brings its award winning options such as the Cowboy Burger and Mac N’ Cheese Bacon Burger, among others, back to the speedway. In addition to the burgers, Dino’s also offers a variety of sides which last year included Mac n’ Cheese, Loaded Tots, and Boneless Wings, all of which are expected to return. If you’d rather keep it simple, Dino’s also offers the traditional single stack burger or a pack of family ‘sliders’ served with French fries. Dino’s was voted as having one of top 10 burgers in New York State by the New York Beef Council in 2018.
Skip’s Fish Fry opened it’s doors just over a year ago, but has quickly earned the reputation for serving some of the area’s best seafood. As the only local restaurant that offers authentic New England style fish fry, Skip’s will continue to serve its mouth watering Haddock Sandwiches, Fried Shrimp and Fried Clams at Oswego Speedway this year. In addition to its popular seafood options, Skip’s will also provide classic menu choices such as the Hofmann Hot Dog and ‘speedway style’ fries along with other sides that include chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, and even deep fried Oreos.
In addition to the return of Cam’s, Dino’s, and Skip’s, Oswego Speedway will continue to offer popcorn, candy and other miscellaneous items in the ‘Snack Shack’ located at the east end of the concession area along with alcoholic beverages at the popular ‘Tiki Bar’ which can be found just past the turn 1 pit entrance. More information on menu choices and specials at these two locations will be made available in the coming weeks.
While it is anticipated that the track’s concession vendors will continue to offer menu options similar to those listed above, speedway management encourages interested parties to keep up with Cam’s Pizzeria, Dino’s House of Burgers and Skip’s Fish Fry on social media for any updates.
