Quick Turnaround Sees Ontario Legend Cars Return to Peterborough Speedway
COLUMN BY: Jim Clarke / CLARKE MOTORSPORTS COMMUNICATIONS – CAVAN, ON – Teams with the Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series are getting ready for another round of Saturday night short track excitement as the group makes its return to Central Ontario. After June 13th and June 20th main event wins by Parker Traves, Peterborough Speedway will host the action, presented by Kevin Ryan Automotive.
Bone Stock, Renegade Truck, Super Stock and Ontario Bandolero action will join the raceday line-up, with King of the Hill timed laps as the intermission feature. Spectator gates open at 5:00, with the night’s racing starting at 6:00 as a new month of competition takes the green flag Saturday, July 4th.
With nearly a quarter of this year’s schedule complete, almost 30 different teams have scored points in at least one Ontario Legend Car Series event. Reigning series champion Dawson Drimmie scored the season opening win – Saturday, May 16th – at Peterborough Speedway. Parker Traves has held the hot hand ever since, with a checkered flag Saturday, May 30th at Sauble and the 2 most recent dates – June 13th and 27th – at Peterborough.
