Race of Champions Modified returns to Shangri-La II Speedway June 14th for “Rod Spalding Classic”
Column By: RACE OF CHAMPIONS MEDIA – OWEGO, NY – The Race of Champions Modified Series will make it’s third attempt at returning to Shangri-La II Speedway on Sunday, June 8 with the running of the rescheduled “Rod Spalding Classic”.
The “Night Before The Glen – Rod Spalding Classic” will feature a 75-lap event for the Race of Champions Modified Series at the fast, concrete-surfaced facility located near Owego, NY.
“We’re ready to get going,” offered Matt Hirschman, who is coming off a second consecutive Series victory. “It’s a unique facility and it is very fast. You have to be on your toes and ready for anything. We will be looking for an exciting race with it at this new location.”
The Modified division will headline the program with the 75-lap feature event.
The always competitive Race of Champions Super Stock Series will also be in action, while the Race of Champions FOAR SCORE Four Cylinder Dash Series will join the card as well.
Qualifying for the “Night Before the Glen – Rod Spalding Classic 75” will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, alongside the Super Stock, FOAR SCORE Four Cylinder Dash Series, and the Shangri-La II Speedway Hobby Stock division.
The event will be broadcast live on FloRacing.
