RPW Exclusive: Jesse Switser carrying the momentum with the American-Canadian Tour into 2026

RPW Exclusive Column By: Stephen Durham / RPW – BOSTON, MA – Since joining the American-Canadian Tour full-time in 2021, Jesse Switser has continued to gain momentum and put himself in contention for wins. The 2025 season was a strong season for the West Burke, Vermont native, finishing the season 4th in the championship standings. Switser is starting off well, finishing 3rd at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the Northeast Classic.

In the 2025 season, Switser racked up six top 5’s, 12 top 10s in fourteen main events with the ACT tour. Switsers best finish on the season was a runner-up finish at Star Speedway last May. Switser feels good coming off the top 5 at Loudon.

“It was a great start to the season, I feel we were due for a podium there after the last few years of being fast. It was a rewarding way to finish the day and I hope to carry the momentum to Lee this coming week,” a pleased Jesse Switser explains.

Looking back at 2025, Switser felt it was a good season, with his stats and runs over the course of the season supporting his top 5 run in the championship standings.

“I think the 2025 season for our team was a success. We were able to go to many tracks for the second time, we had a note book, I had experience at the tracks this year and we were able to be consistent throughout the season minus a few nights we struggled with setup and or track position.” 

Coming off a strong season with the top 5 finish in the championship standings, Switser doesn’t expect anything less in 2026, running strong and being up front.

“Consistently finish inside the top 5, A win or two would be icing on the cake. But if we knock out top 5 finishes we feel we will have a chance at the championship come fall time,” a confident Switser explains.  

The 2026 season for the American-Canadian Tour kicked off this past weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with the 6th Annual Northeast Classic. One track though returns to the 2026 schedule, Lee USA Speedway.

 “Im excited to go back to Lee. I have raced there once, I wrecked out early so it put a bad taste in my mouth, but im excited to go back with the cars I have now and the knowledge we have gained,” Switser explains.

Over the last few years, the American-Canadian Tour has had record entries and participants arriving wherever the tour went. Switser says it has been impressive to see how it’s grown.

“Cris, Scott, Cale and the entire ACT staff have obviously done tremendous things with the tour, the support speaks for itself. They continue to build, seek new partners whatever it takes to give back to the racers,” a grateful Switser explains “we cant race without them, they cant have the tour without the racers and they make it feel that way in many different ways at all different levels.” 

With a busy schedule ahead and a total of 14 races through late October, Switser says its not easy picking an event that sticks out to him most.

“This is a hard one. I really like the tracks we start at, I feel I can run well to start the season at them all. The Canada stretch in the middle of the summer is always a good time. Those tracks are unique and produce some really hard, fun racing,” Switser says “then the fall stretch again brings another set of tracks that anything can happen and we see a lot of support at. I’m excited for the entire season for different reasons!” 

With a powerhouse series with some of the best drivers on the East Coast competing in the American-Canadian Tour, Switser says there are multiple names that could win the coveted American-Canadian Tour championship.

“I feel like there is always a handful that can win at any track, any size etc. Gabe Brown has obviously been fast with multiple wins a year the past couple years. Erick sands, Kaiden Fisher have been consistent with some wins as well,” Switser names just a few, “Jeff Cote i feel will be watched the most to start out the year. He has had alot of success up north, he is coming to a lot of new tracks this year and I feel everyone will be keeping an eye on him for sure!”

Jesse Switser and the rest of the American-Canadian Tour head south on Route 101 to Lee, New Hampshire at Lee USA Speedway, where the tour visits for the first time since 2023.
