RPW Exclusive: Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Preview with last years Top 5 Drivers: Chris Pasteryak
RPW Exclusive Column By: Stephen Durham / RPW – BOSTON, MA – We are just days away from the first race of the season for Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series to kick-off their 13th season. As we head into the new season, we talk with the series top 5 drivers from 2025 and how they are feeling heading into the new season. Finishing 3rd last season with the Monaco Modifieds was Chris Pasteryak.
It was a very strong season for Chris Pasteryak in 2025, having a chance at the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series championship all the way through the end of the season. Pasteryak picked up three top 5s, seven top 10s, with his best finish coming at New London-Waterford later in the season. Here is how things are shaping up for Pasteryak heading into 2026.
Q: Overall thoughts on 2025, had a steady season and finished 4th in the standings with the Monaco Tour?
Chris Pasteryak: “I thought that we had a very solid season. Going into the last event we still had a mathematical shot at the title (even if it was an outside one) and as a team overcame some big hurdles at Stafford to stay in the running. The car had good speed at most tracks and everyone had fun.”
Q:Anything new in 2026 for you and your team?
Chris Pasteryak: “Nothing new for me or the team this season, just to try and build on what we did last year and do all the small things a little bit better.”
Q: You and your team’s expectations for 2026 with the Monaco Tour?
Chris Pasteryak: “I never really try to think about having hard goals or expectations because in racing anything can happen and so much is out of your control that it is easy to get down and beat yourself up if things don’t go your way. If we bring a fast car to the track and do our best the results will be what they will be.”
Q: What event on the series schedule are you looking forward to most?
Chris Pasteryak: “For this season the two races at the Speedbowl. They are on new dates and I hope the track and series can have successful events that fans can look forward to happening many years down the line on the Holiday weekends.”
Q:Heading into this season, who in the series should people be watching?
Chris Pasteryak: “Its the tri track series so with the different motor and car combinations it seems like on any given night a different car can hit everything just right and be a surprise front runner.”
Q: Who would you predict would be the series champion in 2026?
Chris Pasteryak: “Tough question! My guess would be the 50. They were fast at the end of last season and had a good speedweeks to build off of.”
The Monaco Modifieds Tri-Track Series kicks-off their 2026 season at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park Saturday April 11th, as part of the Icebreaker 2026 weekend. The Monaco Modified race will be broadcasted live on North East Short Track Network(NESTN).
