Tristan McKee Wins Pole Award for Clyde Hart Memorial at New Smyrna

Information By: SHAUN BLIGHT / RPW – NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL – 15 year old Tristan McKee will lead the field to green on Tuesday’s 200-lap Clyde Hart Memorial for the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour race at New Smyrna Speedway.
McKee set a lap of 17.734 around the fast half-mile and to win his first pole in his rookie season.
Dawson Sutton will join him on the outside of the front row. Versatile dirt and asphalt racer Carson Brown will start third, with George Phillips, and Kasey Kleyn rounding out the top-five.
Its a star-studded field including the likes of Bubba Pollard, Carson Hocevar and William Sawalich just to name a few.
Kole Raz picked up the win in the 20-lap Last Chance Qualifier. Derek Griffith, Brandon Lopez, Isaac Kitzmiller and RJ Braun failed to qualify for today’s event.
Tonight’s race can be seen on Flo Racing, with opening ceremonies set to start at 6:50 ET. The race will be followed by a 60-lap Tour Modified race, and a 60-lap race for the Pro Late Models.
