Monaco Tri-Track Season Power Rankings Heading into the Final Two Races of 2025
RPW Exclusive Column By: Stephen Durham / RPW – STAFFORD SPRINGS, CT – We are heading deeper into fall, with the final races of the season on the horizon for the Monaco Modifieds Tri-Track Series. The Monaco Modifieds first head to Stafford Motor Speedway this weekend for the NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final, then head down to Seekonk Speedway on October 25th.
It has been quite the year for the Monaco Modifieds Tri-Track Series, with 5 different winners in the 8 races so far. Blake Barney picked up his first career Monaco Modified win at Star Speedway in August. Jake Johnson and Jon McKennedy butted heads at Star Speedway, ending their chances at a victory at Star. Johnson would however rebound at New London-Waterford Speedbowl, picking up yet another win with the Monaco Modifieds in 2025.
The top 5 in the championship standings are separated by 49 points heading into the final two races of the season. Johnson will look to remain hot, as he has 3 wins in 6 stars on the season. The 2014 Monaco Modified champ, Jon McKennedy has yet to win in 2025 with the series, but finished runner-up at Seekonk earlier this year. This is how the RaceProWeekly power rankings look for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series heading into Stafford Motor Speedway and Seekonk Speedway.
- Jon McKennedy (previous rank: 1): It has been a strong season so far in 2025 for Jon McKennedy, but has yet to find victory lane in 2025 on the Monaco Modified Tour. He almost grabbed a win at Star Speedway back in August, but late race incident would end those hopes, and would get a 14th place finish. Kennedy would then rebound with a heat race win at New London-Waterford Speedbowl, and would come home with a top 10 place finish in 7th place. McKennedy holds a 25 point lead heading into the final two races of the year. McKennedy finished 7th at Stafford earlier this summer, and had a top 5 finish at Seekonk as well. McKennedy will look to finish the season strong and grab his 2nd Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series championship.
- Jake Johnson (previous: 2): Jake Johnson picked up yet another win with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series, winning at New London Waterford Speedbowl, his 3rd win on the season. Johnson nearly grabbed a win at Star Speedway as well, but was involved in the wreck with McKennedy that would end their chances at victory. Johnson will look forward to being back at Stafford Motor Speedway, where he picked up a win over the summer. Johnson currently sits 5th in the championship standings, 49 points back from McKennedy.
- Chris Pasteryak (previous: 4): Pasteryak has had a really strong season, and had a strong run over the last pair of races at Star and New London-Waterford, grabbing top 5s at both tracks. Pasteryak sits 2nd in the championship standings, 29 points back from McKennedy. Pasteryak will look to redeem himself at Stafford, where his night ended early, and resulted with a 25th place finish. At Seekonk, Pasteryak had a strong run with a top 5 finish earlier this summer, where he will look to hunt down McKennedy and get his first career Monaco Modified Tri-Track championship.
- Ronnie Williams (previous: 3): It has been another strong season for Ronnie Williams on the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series in 2025. Williams picked a 12th place finish at Star Speedway, followed up by a runner-up finish at the Speedbowl. Williams heads into Stafford Speedway sitting 3rd in the championship standings, 2 points behind Pasteryak, and 27 points overall back from McKennedy. Williams had a runner-up finish at Stafford over the summer, and had a top 10 run at Seekonk, he’ll look to close the gap and pick up his 2nd career championship with the Monaco Modifieds.
- Stephen Kopcik (previous rank:UR): Kopcik came out of the last pair of races with a pair of 6th place finishes at both Star Speedway and New London-Waterford Speedbowl. In the 8 races on the season, Kopcik has 3 top 5s and 6 top 10 finishes, and currently sits 4th in the championship standings, 17 points back from Ronnie Williams, and 44 points back from McKennedy. Kopcik had a top 10 run at Stafford back earlier this year, but finished outside of the top 10 back at Seekonk. Kopcik will look to track down the top 3 in the championship standings as the season comes to a close.
On the Radar:
Matt Hirschman: The defending 2024 Monaco Modified champion will need to make up a lot of points in the final races to make a run for the top 5 in the championship standings. Hirschman comes out of Star Speedway and New London-Waterford with a 9th place and 5th place finish. Hirschman will be one to watch at Stafford and Seekonk, where he finished 5th at Stafford earlier this year, and will look to continue his hot streak at Seekonk, where he won last fall at, and won at again earlier this summer.
Teddy Hodgdon: Hodgdon rebounded at Star and New London-Waterford, picking up a 2nd place finish at Star, and a 9th place finish at the Speedbowl. It’s what Hodgdon needed after rough finishes at Seekonk and Stafford previously. Both of those tracks are on deck, but don’t rule out this young hot shoe to put up a strong fight and finish strong in 2025.
The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series heads back to Stafford Motor Speedway this weekend for the NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final. This is the series’ 9th race of the 10 race schedule for 2025. Racing starts at 3:30PM at Stafford Motor Speedway, on Saturday, September 27th. After Stafford, the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series heads to Seekonk Speedway on October 25th for the USNE Power Haunted 125.
