Cole Butcher has become an internationally known name between Canada and the United States over the last few years. Butcher is well known at short tracks across both countries, and now will get his chance at one of NASCAR’s most famous short-tracks, Bristol Motor Speedway. Butcher will make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut later this week with Halmar Friesen Racing.

Butcher, a winner at prestigious tracks and events such as the Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway, Slinger Speedway, 5 Flags Speedway, and many more, knows how to get it done on the short-tracks.

“We have the track back in Nova Scotia, Riverside International Speedway,” Butcher says “it was built similarly, but at a smaller scale. I have also been working very closely with the HFR team, and all my Toyota teammates.”

Butcher is looking forward to his debut in the NASCAR Craftsmen Truck Series, as he’s had his eyes set on getting into NASCAR.

I have been working on this for a number of years now and I feel with how well we are running  in the super this year I have built up the confidence to try and move up the rank,” Butcher explains “I have built a great relationship with everyone at HFR and I am very excited to strap in at Bristol.”

Butcher currently leads the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA Stars National Tour by 92 points, leading over rookie on the series, Carson Brown. Butcher has 4 wins on the season with the ASA Stars National Tour.

“We are in a great place with all of our Wilson Cars, so it just makes it that much easier to perform knowing we all have the confidence all of our cars are capable of winning,” Butcher says. Cole Butcher will make his NASCAR Craftsmen Truck Series debut Thursday, September 11th, racing for Halmar Friesen Racing, aboard the 62 Toyota Tundra. Qualifying will be at 4PM EDT, and the UNOH 200 Presented by Ohio Logistics will be at 8PM EDT.
