Jake Johnson Remains Hot, Captures 3rd Win on the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series
Column By: Shawn Courchesne / MONACO MODIFIEDS TRI-TRACK SERIES – NEW LONDON-WATERFORD, C.T. – The summer heat has Jake Johnson on a scorching roll with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series.
Johnson, of Rehoboth, Mass., drove to victory in the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Belltown Motors/Fowler’s Auto Recycling 100 at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday.
It was the third victory in the last five Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series events.
Johnson also won with the series at White Mountain Motorsports Park on June 8 and at Stafford Speedway on July 16.
It was the sixth career series victory for Johnson, who was making his 23rd career start with the series on Saturday.
Johnson is now tied with Ron Silk and Chase Dowling for second on the division’s all-time win list. Matt Hirschman leads the list with 23 wins.
Ronnie Williams of Lebanon was second and Christ Pasteryak of Lisbon third.
