Column By: Stephen Durham / RPW – OXFORD, M.E. –  It was all Garrett Hall Friday night in the PASS Sunoco 150 to kick of Oxford 250 Weekend.

The Pro All-Star Series were set for a double-header weekend, kicking the weekend off with the PASS Sunoco 150, to make up for a postponed race earlier in the season.

Winning the heat races earlier in the night were Kevin Douglas(32D),  Garrett Hall(94), and Bobby Therrian(5x).

During post-race inspection, Bubba Pollard(26), finished third in his heat race, but did not make post-race inspection, leaving him to start at the rear of the field. He would not go out for the PASS Sunoco 150 later in the evening.

Hall would start the PASS Sunoco 150 shotgun on the field, set to start the weekend off hot, and would do so, leading it from green to checkered.

It would become a race of attrition for some, and potentially costly for the Oxford 250 Weekend, as multiple wrecks throughout the race would end drivers nights early on.

Lap 1 caution would involve Dennis Spencer(12S), ending his night early with right-side damage, but as of Saturday morning, the 12S super-late model was ready for practice with a new door.

The lap 1 caution also included Matt Dow(84) and Michael Scorzelli(18S).

22 laps later, another significant incident occurred, involving Glen Luce(7L), Mark Henderson(21), Scorzelli(18S), and Dow(84). This wreck would end the night’s for Henderson, Scorzelli, and Dow.

Just passed the halfway position, a few drivers decided to pull in to save their machines for the weekend, one being Carson Brown(28).

Lap 90 would involve a significant wreck off turn 4, as Joey Doiron(73d) and Kevin Douglass(32D) got together, spinning Douglass, and he would roll down the track into the lower groove, and Mike Hopkins(39) would hit him significantly in the rear. Both drivers got out of their cars under their own power, but there nights were done.

During all this though, it was Garrett Hall out front, remaining the leader. He was being chased by the most recent Oxford Plains Speedway winner, of DJ Shaw.

When the checkers flew though, it was Garrett Hall taking home the victory.
