Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / OSCAAR – LONDON, ON – Taking the lead just before the halfway mark, Jamie Cox led the rest of the way en route to winning the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified feature at Delaware Speedway on Saturday.

After winning his heat, Cox would start fourth for the 30-lap feature, ready to make his move to the front. He took over the runner-up spot on Lap 5, setting his sights on the race leader. He easily closed in on Dale Reinhart over the next couple laps, taking the top spot on Lap 8. Cox spread his lead out to a couple car lengths, maintaining it the rest of the way en route to picking up the checkered flag.

Reinhart ran a comfortable second for the rest of the event, while Steve Trendell scored another podium with a third-place finish with Wally Wilson in fourth.

The battle for fifth caught the attention of fans through the final 10 laps, with Jason Keen holding off a hard-charging Marshall Schrenk despite a couple bumps being traded over the last five laps. Ryan Dick tried to insert himself in the midst, ultimately placing seventh.

Steve McCaw and Bryan Batty rounded out the field. Brandon Feeney was also in attendance, but motor issues prevented him from taking the green flag for the feature.

Heat victories went to Jason Keen and Jamie Cox.

The Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modifieds are back in action at Full Throttle Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 12.
