Story By: JIM CLARKE / PETERBOROUGH SPEEDWAY – PETERBOROUGH, ONT – From home track favourites to the top touring divisions in provincial short track racing, it is never too early to start planning for the 2025 season at Peterborough Speedway.

Staff and officials at the venue known for Making Memories for Life are already working on the line-up for the next schedule of Saturday night action at the popular Central Ontario oval, with opening night already planned for Saturday, May 17th. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says that even though industry terms refer to this as the off-season, it is actually the busiest time of the year.

“There is hardly a day that goes by that our promotional team doesn’t have a meeting with potential sponsors and marketing partners. There’s a lot that goes into the weekly operation of a facility that has been around for close to 6 decades and that keeps everyone involved in the planning process,” explained Josiasse. “We’re putting everything together to give our fans and race teams another exciting season of action.”

Peterborough Speedway has traditionally kicked-off the annual schedule with the Pure Country 105 Season Opener – presented by Pepsi – with free spectator grandstand admission. Josiasse says that trend will continue with the 2025 kick-off, as will the custom of offering yearly entry passes as the perfect gift suggestion for any occasion.

The 2025 Season Pass, with 16 Saturday nights of regular season racing is only $250. That’s more than $50 off the weekly grandstand admission price. Catch everything offered in the Season Pass, plus the excitement of the 32nd annual edition of the APC Autumn Colours Classic and pay just $300. That’s nearly $70 less than the regular general admission ticket price. For details, email info@peterboroughspeedway.com or call the track office at 705.743.5880.

Bullring bullet points: Peterborough Speedway’s 2024 Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, January 18th at the Ennismore Community Centre, 553 Ennis Road…Track officials have been working on a preliminary version of the upcoming schedule and have booked the Ontario Bandolero Series for 4 dates, including the 32nd APC Autumn Colours Classic.

Peterborough Speedway will unveil its 2025 schedule at the eBay Motors Toronto Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo – March 7th through 9th – at the International Centre.
