Story By: JODY LONDON / GTR PROMOTIONS – OSWEGO, NY – On Friday, August 30th at Oswego Speedway, the Midstate Basement Authorities Dave London Memorial XVI Super Stock Race takes place for its 5th year on Classic Weekend.
Boosting a $4,000 payday and minimum $500 to start the race, drivers from all over northeast have pinned this event to be at. Drivers such as Chris Riendeau from Vermont, defending champion Garrett Zacharias from NY and Eric Kocher from PA, have all marked this race as the race to be at.
A staggering 33 pre-registered super stocks have entered the event. The 50 lap main event is not one to miss.
Also on the card that night is the 4th running of the New York State Compact Championship with a 20 lap main event. Micah Adams of Moscow PA looks to defend his title from all commers of the event with a pre-registered 22 compacts to do battle.
“I’m always so happy to see everyone get together from all over just for a good time and this is a good time” stated promoter Jody London. “There’s just something magical about this event, the pay is great, the prestige is phenomenal and it’s all put together inside the steel palace at Oswego” says Jody.
On Friday, August 30th, the Midstate Basement Authorities Dave London Memorial XVI Super Stock Race and the New York State Compact Championship will take place at Oswego Speedway on Classic Weekend.
General admission is $20, pits open at 9am, grandstands open at 11am, and racing begins at 630pm.
