Column By: MATTHEW WIERNASZ / RPW – BARRE, VT- Jason Corliss scored the three peat last Thursday night at Thunder Road Speedbowl by winning the Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 presented by Vermont Lottery.
There were a total of 28 cars that took the green.
NASCAR Cup Series driver Brad Keselowski brought out the first caution on lap 16 as he spun in turn one.
Derrick O’Donnell and Cody Blake would continue to be the class of the field.
Corliss took the lead on lap 65. The final caution of the event came out with 39 laps remaining as Matt White and Ricky Roberts spun on the front causing the front of the field to check up. O’Donnell would be the only car in the top three to sustain damage.
Blake would try to catch Corliss through lap traffic but Corliss was able to hold off Blake for the win.

When the white flag came out, Corliss knew he was going to win three in a row. He knew he had a great car.
Cody Blake finished in second and Brendan Moodie finished in third. Marcel Gravel finished in fourth and Jamie Swallow rounded out the top five.
Sixth through tenth were Scott Dragon, Stephen Donahue, Kyle Pembroke, Brandon Lanphear, and Bobby Therrien.
Tanner Woodward won the Flying Tigers race and Josh Lovely won the Street Stocks race
Thunder Road will return to action on Thursday night for the Mid-Season Championships.
