Column By: STEPHEN DURHAM / RPW – LEE, NH – May Madness Weekend is going to live up to its name at Lee Speedway this weekend, weather will cooperate in the Granite State, with maybe a small chance of a shower in the afternoon hours both days. Action packed racing is set for both Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday morning temperatures will start off in the 40’s and will quickly rise into the upper 60’s and eventually into the 70’s by the afternoon. With daytime heating, and upper atmosphere energy, isolated popup showers will be possible. They will not be widespread and won’t last long.
Temperatures Saturday evening will fall back down into the 60’s and eventually down back into the upper 40’s by Sunday morning.
Racing action on Saturday will get underway at 2PM, pit gates open up at 9AM, grandstands at 12PM, and there is no longer a capacity limit!
For Sunday, weather will be very similar to Saturday. Few clouds throughout the day mixed with sunshine at times. Temperatures will get back into the lower 70’s by the afternoon with an isolated chance for a popup shower or two.
Sunday’s racing action will feature the American-Canadian Tour Late Models, Pro All Star Series Super Late Models and Modifieds. Pit gates open up at 9AM, grandstands open up at 12PM, racing action underway by 2PM.
Drivers scheduled to be in attendance will be ARCA Menards Series driver Derek Griffith, PASS Stars Johnny Clark, Ben Rowe, DJ Shaw, and many more drivers for both series!
