Story By: JS MOTORSPORTS PROMOTIONS – TONAWANDA, NY – The Mighty TQ Midgets 2021 season begins May 14th and 15th as teams will be traveling to the Cleveland Ohio area for a 2 day event.
On Friday May 14th, The Mighty Midgets will head to the 1/5 mile track known as ,”The Battleground”, Painsville Speedway, where the tq’s will headline a full card with a 30 lap feature.
Then on Saturday May 15th, The Mighty Midgets head down I-90 to Lorain Raceway Park, where they are on the card with the Mid West Supermodified Series for a 25 lap feature. Each race is $500 to win and $100 to start with a $50 bonus each night to the fast qualifier.
A steller field of competitors is expected for both races. Arca Menard Rookie driver Andy Jankowiak will be driving the BGF #29(Andy J is currently building his new tq, But the Arca series comes first and he hopes to have the new tq ready by mid season). BGF owner Jim Fleishman has graciously stepped up and offered Andy J the ride.
Reigning East Coast tq Midget Series Champion Tyler Wagner, AJ(Slideways) Hessler, Moose Rutherford, DJ Sossong and Florida tq Midget standout Jimmy Wilkens are all expected to attend as well as many others.
“The Painsville Speedway” and “Lorain Raceway Park” are both owned by the Maggio family. Randy jr (promotor and all around go getter of everything for both tracks) and family have done an amazing job bringing both tracks back to life, and they continue to work on improvements daily. The Mighty Midgets are proud to be a part of their rebirth.
