Tommy Krawczyk Crowned RoC Super Stock Series Champion For 2020 Season

Story By: RACE OF CHAMPIONS – ORCHARD PARK, NY – In a typical season, the Race of Champions Family of Series would have gathered at the Genesee River Restaurant and Reception Center in January to honor the accomplishments of competitors and crown champions.

Series management held out hope that restrictions would be lifted in order to hold a mass gathering. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and gathering restrictions, the Race of Champions has been forced to hold individual ceremonies to crown champions.

This past Sunday, Tommy Krawczyk of Orchard Park, N.Y., became the first driver to receive his accolades include point fund and contingency awards, the champions helmet and sign board from Image X in Waterloo, N.Y., as well as the champions jackets from Hoosier Racing Tire and VP Racing Fuels.

Krawczyk won his first title in the abbreviated year due to the pandemic. His performance was extremely strong in the division. He scored two victories and one second place finish to become the champion.

Krawczyk out performed Tommy Barron of Ontario, N.Y., and T.J. Cochrane of Buffalo, N.Y., for his first series title.

“We had a great season, short, but great,” stated Krawczyk in front of family, crew members and a few friends on Sunday afternoon. “We worked just as hard this year as any other year and I have to thank my car owner, John Lyon, our crew, my family and all of our sponsors for making this possible. We didn’t even know if we could race, so to finish this way is outstanding. We are truly thankful for this.”

Award presentations for Patrick Emerling of Orchard Park, N.Y., and Jason Anasiewicz of Alden, N.Y., are yet to happen.
