Gary Putnam Racing Announces 2021 Plans; Max McLaughlin Returning To Team For Select Races

Story By: GARY PUTNAM RACING – CONCORD, NC – Gary Putnam Racing (GPR) has announced the teams tentative schedule for the upcoming 2021 race season.
The team will race up and down the East Coast, competing in both select NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) events and the Southern Modified Auto Racing Tour (SMART) races.
Behind the wheel of the #77 CURB Records Modified will be Gary Putnam along with rising short track racer Max McLaughlin who will pilot the car at select events. The #77 team carries momentum coming into the 2021 season with the win by McLaughlin at the 2020 North-South Shootout.
Joining the #77 this year will be the companion team of Kevin Manion Motorsports/CURB Records #53 which will be driven by NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Newman. The team will run at select NASCAR combination weekends when the Cup Series and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour are together at the same track.
