Story By: RACING PROMOTION MONTHLY – BUFFALO, NY – The nomination ballot for the 45th Annual Auto Racing Promoter of the Year has been released.
Industry representatives wishing to nominate promoters may do so at the link included within this release.
All six regions (Eastern, South Eastern, Central, Northern, Great Plains, West) are eligible and once again will have representatives that will be recognized at the 48th Annual RPM Workshops in Daytona Beach, Fla, at the Plaza Resort, February 7, 8 and 9, 2021.
Last year Roger Slack, who promoters and manages Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, was introduced as the 44th Auto-Racing Promoter of the Year, representing the Central Region.
Slack won with over 73% of the votes during the final round of balloting.
Regional winners in 2019 were; Region One, Eastern Region; Lyle Devore from Albany-Saratoga (NY) Speedway; Region Five; Great Plains Region; Ray Marler of I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Missouri and Region Six; Southwest and Western Region; Dennis Gage from Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California all accepted their awards. Jim Stannard accepted the award for Toby Kruse and the Ratajczak family for their Region Four, Northern Region win for their efforts at 141 Speedway in Maribel, Wisconsin. Chris Martin was recognized for his Region Two Southeastern Region win at Cochran Motor Speedway in Georgia.
For the 2020 season, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, an award will be presented to the Auto-Racing Promoter of the Year who was able to host events but without fans, as many promoters were forced to do with the regulations that were presented restricting “full” event operations during the 2020 season for many facilities.

Nominations will close at midnight on Friday, January 8, 2021, with voting for the 45th Annual Auto-Racing Promoter of the Year to commence on Monday, January 11, 2021, once all nominees have been announced. All polling will be tracked digitally.
