Column By: JESSY MILLER/ RPW – POCONO, PA – Before Coronavirus and NASCAR decided to (wisely) take a break to keep everyone safe, there was supposed to be a double header at Pocono for the Cup Series. That’s right, a race on Saturday and then another the next day on Sunday. Well, taking a two month break didn’t stop NASCAR because this last weekend… they delivered!
On Saturday it was Kevin Harvick that was victorious. There would be no burnout from the No. 4 since the drivers had to use the same cars on Sunday’s race. This marked Harvick’s third win in the 2020 season to date. The top twenty finishers would be inverted for Sunday meaning that Harvick started Sunday’s race in 20th and Ryan Preece (who finished 20th on Saturday) started on the pole. All drivers 21st and behind started Sunday in the positions they finished Saturday in.

The other three wins came at the Daytona 500 in February, Darlington in May and Homestead in June. It was also Hamlin’s 6th win at Pocono which tied him with Jeff Gordon for most wins at the Tricky Triangle.
