Story By: HALMAR FRIESEN RACING – STATESVILLE, NC – Heading into this weekend’s NASCAR Truck Series action at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Stewart Friesen is currently 11th in the championship points standings and ready to get back behind the wheel.
Friesen battled a loose truck in his last start but was able to battle to a top ten finish (9th) in the Strat 200 at Las Vegas.
This weekend will mark the Sprakers, NY driver’s 74th NASCAR Gander Outdoors & RV Truck Series start.
“ Coming out of Las Vegas with a top ten after the handling issues we were having is a testament to our team’s ability to stick with it and put the work in needed to get us to where we want to be,” Friesen said. “We are building momentum and I am very excited to get back in the truck for Atlanta on Saturday!”
The Halmar Bounty is in effect ! The $50,000 Halmar Bounty will be awarded to any NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series regular (non-cup driver) who wins against any NASCAR Cup Series regular in the upcoming 2020 Truck races in which Kyle Busch is competing. He must be running at the end of the race.
If Kyle Busch wins at Atlanta, Halmar will donate $25,000 to the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund.
“We love Kyle,” team owner Chris Larsen said. “He is a true warrior, but, we have so many talented Truck Series regular teams and we know first-hand the level of work they put in. We want to give the drivers and teams, who are the bedrock of the Series, a bounty to shoot for.”
Larson is also excited to see what his driver can do.
“We are looking forward to seeing how Stewart performs behind the wheel of the #52 Toyota Tundra during these upcoming races,” he said. “We are confident in our Halmar team!”
