Story By: HALMAR FRIESEN RACING – STATESVILLE, NC – Stewart Friesen enters Daytona looking forward to what will be an exciting and historic season for Halmar Friesen Racing (HFR).
The 2020 season marks a new beginning for HFR and the No. 52. In the off season, the team made the move to Toyota with the support of Toyota Racing Development (TRD).
“We were all very impressed after spending time with Toyota,” Friesen said,. “TRD has been welcoming to our organization. With their support, knowledge and technology, we hope to bring our team to another level.”
Trip Bruce returns as Crew Chief for the HFR team. Friesen finished the ‘19 NASCAR Truck Series season fourth in the points championship. The ‘20 racing campaign will be the third full-time NGOTS season for the Sprakers, NY driver.
“Through the transition, we’ve been able to retain several members of our team from last season,” he said. “They’ve remained loyal to us and have new energy going into 2020.”
