Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / JASON SIMMONS RACING – OSWEGO, NY – Jason Simmons Racing officially opens its indoor season on December 6-7 with the 27th running of the New York State Indoor Kart Championships inside the Center of Progress building on the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY.
Defending Oswego Speedway International Classic champion, Tyler Thompson, will compete on Friday and Saturday this weekend, culminating with the $1,000 to win PRO Clone finale on Saturday evening.
Last year, Thompson placed third in both PRO events at Syracuse.
Joining Thompson in the JSR lineup at Syracuse will be Junior driver, Savannah Simmons.
Competing in her first ever indoor event, Simmons looks to continue her stretch of great results from outdoors, which saw the young driver earn a Jr. Green Clone track championship and Classic win at Oswego Kartway.
JSR’s Champ Kart racers, Tyler Brown and Dan Kapuscinski, will also be in action this weekend, shaking down their equipment for the upcoming Indoor Auto Racing Championship series which will begin on January 3 in Allentown, PA.
$500 to win PRO Champ Kart mains will be held on Friday and Saturday in Syracuse this weekend.
Hot laps begin this Friday at 4:30 p.m. with spectator gates opening at 6 p.m.
