Story By: MIKE PARKS / GRANITE STATE PRO STOCK SERIES – WALPOLE, NH – Going into the JBH 100 this Saturday, August 11th at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, NH points leader Cory Casagrande of Stafford Springs, CT will not be in attendance due to a pre-planned family function. “I’ll be giving up my points lead for my brother Kyle’s bachelor party this weekend, I wish everyone the best of luck and will be back for White Mountain on Saturday, August 18th.” Casagrande said.
Close behind Casagrande are four drivers separated by only ten points. Jacob Dore [196] leads by eight points over a tie for third between Devin O’Connell [188] and Nick Lascuola [188]. Maine drivers bookend the close points chase with Joey Doiron [186] behind the tie for third by just two points.
At the half way mark of the 2018 season, series president Mike Parks reflects on dear friend John Hoyt and his legacy. “The JBH 100 has a special place for everybody involved with GSPSS, John Hoyt (JBH) was the driving force pushing me to do this deal, and I think he would be thrilled to see where we are” Parks said. “A fantastic title sponsor with Springfield Buick GMC, an amazing pace truck, along with a full field of top drivers is something he would appreciate.”
Pit gates will open at 1:00pm this Saturday. Practice will begin at 3:00pm and racing will commence at 6:00pm. Pit gate admission $40
