Story By: CAMDEN PROUD / PROUD MOTORSPORTS – OSWEGO, NY – For the second year in a row, Camden Proud, the driver of the Step One Creative No. 54 Small Block Supermodified, will host an online Chicken BBQ sale as a part of a contest held in effort to raise money for Proud Motorsports’ 2018 campaign at Oswego Speedway.
While pre-sale tickets are vital to the success of the event, once again, sponsors have come forward as part of the online sales; Ken’s Body Shop and Premier Living Suites in Oswego. Should Proud sell 100 tickets for the event in the set time frame from 8-9pm on March 8, these two businesses will donate an additional $250 each to Proud Motorsports.
“I’d like to thank Jeff Jones at Ken’s Body Shop and Greg Furlong at Premier Living Suites in Oswego for jumping onboard with this contest for the second year in a row,” Proud said. “Every year we’ve held this so far, whether its been me engaging with everyone or a third party, we have been successful and picked up our bonus. I’m grateful to have such a fantastic support system around the City of Oswego and we hope that continues in 2018. The car wouldn’t be able to hit the track without the generosity from people like Jeff and Greg.”
The 2018 version of the Camden Proud Chicken BBQ Fundraiser ticket sales contest will be held promptly at 8pm and run until exactly 9pm on Thursday, March 8, one month before the fundraiser. To access the sales contest, visit Facebook and search for ‘Camden Proud.’
Although the contest will be shared to Proud Motorsports social media pages, Proud will make his personal account public for the evening in order to run the contest, and those interested in purchasing tickets must engage with Proud’s personal account ONLY.
Anyone in the general public is invited to participate, even if you do not have a Facebook account. Those who intend to purchase tickets are asked to comment their name and ticket count directly on the post, which will be a flier for the event.
After you place your order, Proud or a representative of the team will reach out to you to confirm your order of pork or chicken as well as your method of ticket payment and pickup.
You must bring your pre-sale ticket to the event on April 8th for your order to be valid and in order to sell remaining dinners, all pre-sale orders must be picked up by 2pm. The event starts at 1pm and will be held at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego.
