Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / TEAM TAPOUT RACING – OSWEGO, NY – Team Tapout Racing continued its hot streak in karting action over the weekend, as lead driver Tyler Thompson scored three main event victories on Championship Sunday at Motorama in Harrisburg, PA, including the prestigious Pro Clone finale.
In total, Team Tapout scored five main event wins over the course of the weekend as Thompson was victorious in the Saturday night Champ main event as well as Sunday’s Champ, Clone 375, and Pro Clone features.
Sean Simmons was also in action for Team Tapout, collecting the Jr. Unrestricted championship trophy on Saturday night.
“We love Motortama,” said Thompson. “We’ve been fortunate to win there quite a few times, but to win the Pro race on Sunday is really big for our team. It means a lot.”
Thompson not only won the Pro main event, but qualified on pole position and lead every lap to score the dominating win in his No. 98T Slack Karts machine.
“Everyone was on their game,” said Thompson. “Thanks again to all of our supporters and congratulations to Sean (Simmons) on his Jr. Unrestricted win. It was a great team effort all weekend.”
Team Tapout’s Motorama success comes on the heels of their victory in the Indoor Auto Racing Championship finale in Albany, NY with driver Tyler Brown.
